Port of Melbourne Corporation

After working with the Port of Melbourne Corporation (PoMC) to redevelop over 400 pages of content for its corporate web site and intranet in 2004, our latest role involved the planning, structure, creation and migration of content for the PoMC's Channel Project web site.

Information on the site needed to update all stakeholders about the trial dredging and the proposed channel deepening project. It is also a repository for over 500 legal documents. The new site went live in August 2005.

ui3 continues to work with the PoMC to provide staff training in web publishing and ongoing intranet updates.

Our solution

Audit of existing content and a gap analysis to earmark new content.

Development of content plans providing a blueprint for all content that needs to be created/repurposed and a tool for managing content development.

Our editorial team has created and edited over 400 pages for the PoMC sites.

Our content migration team migrated all content including over 500 documents.

We continue to provide one-on-one and group training on the new Content Management System to over 20 staff across the organisation. Our latest round of training will involve skilling staff in writing for the web.
